IWS Law Enforcement is a scalable, easy-to-use digital booking, identification and investigative solution that enables law enforcement to capture, store and retrieve criminal mug shots, fingerprints, SMT images and data. This information can then be used for investigative purposes including the ability to create non-biased photo lineups and mug books.
IWS Law Enforcement easily interfaces with existing RMS, JMS, livescan and AFIS products as well as other agencies’ IWS Law Enforcement systems. This ensures that data can be shared not only between systems, but between authorized agencies as well. IWS Law Enforcement can also create employee ID cards or prisoner wristbands, complete with photos and bar codes.
IWS Law Enforcement consists of two primary components: a Capture Component and an Investigative Component. The Capture Component enables booking officers to digitally capture images, demographic and arrest information. The Investigative Component is used by officers to conduct searches and create lineups & mugbooks.
Facial Recognition Add-on
Add-on facial recognition technology to search the IWS Law Enforcement database via the Internet or a secure Intranet for matches to a digital mug shot, scanned photograph, suspect composite* or video surveillance image based on distinctive facial characteristics. Potential matches are then quickly displayed in order of confidence.
Wireless Add-on
Wireless add-on capabilities allow officers to access and view selected IWS Law Enforcement data and images via the Internet or wirelessly on an MDT (mobile data terminal) or handheld device. This enables officers to conduct real-time searches and investigations any time, anywhere.
PDA Add-on
The PDA add-on allows a subset of IWS Law Enforcement information to be downloaded to a PDA and carried anywhere for quick access to crucial data and images. This add-on is most useful for field officers who need to identify specialized
groups of individuals such as gang members, sex offenders or narcotics dealers when they are on patrol.
Lineup Replay Add-on
Add-on the Lineup Replay functionality and as a witness scrolls through a lineup, the order and length of time each image is viewed by a witness can be recorded and replayed for consistency. Witness information can also be saved with a lineup along with case information and the mug shot the witness selected.
IDs & Report Add-on
IWS Law Enforcement comes with a photo ID and reporting feature that enables agencies to design and produce custom reports as well as employee photo IDs, visitor badges and inmate wristbands, complete with photos, bar codes and more. Additional licenses of this feature may be purchased as an add-on.
*IWS™ Suspect ID
With the IWS Suspect ID digital composite sketching software, officers can conduct an online cognitive interview with a witness and easily create a suspect composite Without artistic or extensive computer experience. This software also works seamlessly with ImageWare’s facial recognition module, enabling officers to use state-of-the-art biometrics to find a list of potential matches to their composites.
