SAN DIEGO, CA, February 5, 2007 - ImageWare® Systems, Inc. (AMEX: IW), a leading developer of identity management solutions, is exhibiting and speaking at the 8th Annual U.S. Privacy & Security Conference being held at the Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, February 14th – 16th. The company will demonstrate its award winning IWS™ Biometric Engine® and showcase its scalability through a live demonstration of the IWS™ Biometric Engine® Border Management solution used in the biometrics field trial for the Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC).

ImageWare’s Executive Vice President, Bill Willis, will also be presenting a case study on the CIC biometrics field trial project during the U.S. Privacy & Security luncheon on February 15th at 12:30 p.m. This luncheon will be held at the Crystal Ballroom.

ImageWare’s IWS™ Biometric Engine® Border Management solution is used by CIC to test the operational impact of using multiple biometrics in its immigration program and to determine how biometrics could be used to enhance security and reduce the potential for identity fraud. The field trial involves temporary resident visa applicants and refugee claimants.

As part of the trial, the IWS™ Biometric Engine® Border Management solution includes facial and fingerprint biometric capabilities for identification and verification purposes. Participating ports include United States/Canada border stations in British Columbia, Vancouver International Airport, a refugee processing center in Etobicoke, Ontario, and Canadian immigration offices in Seattle and Hong Kong.
