ImageWare® Expands Platform Support for IWS™ Biometric Engine®

a world leading developer and provider of identity management solutions, today announced it has expanded the list of installation platforms for its IWS™ Biometric Engine® to include Sun™ Solaris™ 10 and Red Hat® Linux® 4.

The IWS™ Biometric Engine® is a scalable multi-biometric engine that specifically addresses mission-critical security applications. It enables users to enroll and manage unlimited population sizes and conduct multi-modal, comparative biometric searches including Exhaustive (1:N), Specific (1:1), Investigative (X:N) and Enrollment Integrity (N:N). The IWS™ Biometric Engine® is available as part of a Web-based, biometric enrollment, identification, verification and investigative application or as a platform that enables system integrators to build custom identity management applications or incorporate biometric enrollment, search and authentication functionality into existing applications.
IWS™ Biometric Engine®, with Solaris and Linux support, will be available in Q4 2005.
