Latest release delivers unparalleled capabilities for digital booking and investigative solutions that empower law enforcement to transform time-consuming procedures into simple, streamlined processes

SAN DIEGO, CA, October 22, 2003 - ImageWare Systems, Inc. (AMEX: IW) today announced the release of its Crime Capture System v3.0 at the 110th Annual International Association of Chief’s of Police (IACP) Conference in Philadelphia. ImageWare’s CCS is a comprehensive digital booking, investigative and identification solution that enables law enforcement organizations to capture, store and retrieve criminal mug shots, images and data. The latest version features multi-level security features, NIST standard images, uniform lineup capabilities, in addition to online mug books and advanced search and retrieval functionality. ImageWare will be providing live demonstrations of CCS v3.0 in booth # 2001 from October 22 – 24.

ImageWare CCS v3.0
ImageWare’s CCS v3.0 is a complete digital booking, investigative and identification solution that empowers law enforcement agencies to capture images including mug shots, scars, marks and tattoos as well as support real-time data sharing and the creation of multiple, distinct databases which many agencies use to quickly identify special groups such as gang members, sex offenders, inmates and even employees. This critical information can be accessed via PC, Web-based, wireless or data sharing platforms to ensure that criminal mug shots and data get into the hands of officers in a timely fashion; and for investigative purposes including the ability to create non-biased photo line-ups and mug books. Authorized CCS users can also create employee ID cards or prisoner wristbands, complete with photos and barcodes.

“The new and enhanced features in CCS v3.0 further proves ImageWare’s dedication to satisfying the current market requirements of our existing users as well as supporting our suite of products that spans a multitude of digital booking and investigative applications from facial recognition to real-time data sharing and identification,” said Joe Schuler, SVP of sales and marketing at ImageWare. “We are very excited about this new release and believe that CCS addresses a growing demand for high performance digital booking and investigative solutions.”

ImageWare’s CCS also features add-on facial recognition and digital composite sketching modules to further speed investigative process by enabling law enforcement officials to easily create a digital suspect composite. Using state of the art facial recognition technology, an agency’s mug shot database can be searched for potential matches to this composite. Facial recognition searches can be conducted from scanned and imported images as well.

CCS easily interfaces with existing RMS, JMS, Livescan and AFIS products as well as other agencies’ CCS systems. This ensures that data can be shared not only between systems, but between authorized agencies as well.
