Imageware Launches EPICard™ ID Badge Maker
SAN DIEGO, CA, October 23, 2002 - ImageWare Systems, Inc. (AMEX: IW)
today announced that it's German subsidiary, Digital Imaging International GmbH launched EPICard™, the newest addition to the company's suite of ID software solutions. EPICard was designed with ease of use and simplicity in mind, resulting in a boxed, ID badging product that enables users to easily design and print ID cards. The EPICard solution comes complete with a camera, tripod, card printer and card printing materials.
"EPICard was developed to address the underserved markets in Southern and Eastern Europe as well as emerging markets in Asia Pacific and China who are all in need of a low-cost, easy-to-use, off-the-shelf solution," said Jim Miller, ImageWare's chairman and CEO.
As an organization's needs grow, EPICard can be easily upgraded to include the more sophisticated ID management properties found in the company's EPISUITE™ ID management product line.
EPICard is currently available in both the English and German languages. Arabic, French, Spanish and Chinese will follow, in addition to other languages for emerging markets, as needed.
EPICard was introduced earlier this month at the Security Essen 2002 Exhibition in Essen, Germany. EPICard will also be featured at GITEX 2002 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre in the United Arab Emirates from October 13-17, 2002 and at CARTES 2002 at the Paris-Nord Villipinte Exhibition Centre in Paris, France from November 5-7, 2002.
