ImageWare Systems Closes Four Governmental Projects In the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai
SAN DIEGO, CA, March 1, 2002 - ImageWare Systems, Inc. (AMEX:IW) has closed four major governmental projects in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai through its wholly-owned European subsidiary, Digital Imaging International GmbH. The projects were successfully negotiated and signed by Emirates Photo Marketing (EPM), the distributor for the United Arab Emirates.
All four projects involve the production of more than 320,000 secure personal ID cards for governmental use. For multi-level security, the cards will be pre-printed, made of full polyester and additionally protected by 3-D holographic laminates. The combination of the card body material, with the level of pre-printing and lamination, guarantees long-lasting and extremely secure government credentials.
