ImageWare Systems’ Robert Kerrigan to Speak at Institute of the Americas’ ‘Effective E-Government For Municipalities’ Conference, Thursday, April 21st

SAN DIEGO, CA, April 20 2005 - Robert Kerrigan, Director of Latin American Region for ImageWare Systems, Inc., is slated to participate in the Institute of the Americas’ “Effective E-Government for Municipalities” Conference on Thursday, April 21, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. at the Novotel Mexico Santa Fe hotel in Mexico City.

Mr. Kerrigan will speak on a panel titled “A Return on Investment in Technology and Development in Human Capital,” where he will address issues of human resources and electronics – primarily, technology that would better serve municipalities in Mexico as the country faces significant challenges with ID fraud and theft problems.

The two-day conference is aimed at helping municipal officials identify e-government projects with a high likelihood of success and locate new sources of financing to embark on projects promptly. The conference will highlight practical policy-oriented examples and will include in-depth workshops on how to plan and implement these programs.

ImageWare’s product lines can eliminate fraud by using biometrics to provide the public safety market with booking, investigative and identification solutions that can be accessed and shared via PC, Web and wireless platforms – ensuring that data and images get into the hands of law enforcement personnel when and where they need it most.

“We have been successful with a Mexican governmental institution to provide biometric identity management solutions, and we feel a great commitment to forming partnerships with other Mexican institutions as well,” Kerrigan commented. “ImageWare’s identity management solutions are geared to empower Mexican municipal, state and federal institutions to providing services to those citizens who are duly entitled to receive them.” Kerrigan added.
