SAN DIEGO, CA, February 1, 2006 - ImageWare® Systems, Inc. (AMEX: IW), a world leading developer and provider of identity management solutions, today announced two new senior management appointments. Bill Willis, ImageWare’s senior vice president of Technology and chief technology officer (CTO) has been appointed to a newly created position of executive vice president of Business Development. He will report directly to Jim Miller, ImageWare’s chairman and CEO. In a related move, David Harding will join ImageWare as CTO, also reporting to Mr. Miller. As executive vice president of Business Development, Mr. Willis will continue an aggressive effort to lead and build ImageWare’s technical and strategic relationships; identify acquisitions; and support the company’s technical strategy and architecture in support of ImageWare’s industry leadership in Biometric Identity Management. “Bill’s industry knowledge and technical experience has been a great asset to the company and will continue to be as we expand our strategic relationships and alliances, broaden our overall product portfolio and enhance our Biometric Identity Management solution suite,” said Miller. “We are excited to have David on board as he is highly regarded in the technology industry. He has an excellent track record of delivering high quality, robust, large-scale products that solve complex problems for customers. Working together, they will shape ImageWare’s technological future and capture new market opportunities." Mr. Harding, an accomplished technology executive with more than 17 years of technology implementation and management experience, will be responsible for core technology strategy and advanced development programs including the strategic design and technology infrastructure from concept through delivery. Before joining ImageWare, Mr. Harding held several CTO positions, with the most recent at IC Solutions, Inc., where he was responsible for all technology departments including the development and management of software development, IT and quality assurance as well as their respective hardware, software and human resource budgets. He has also held other CTO and executive management positions at numerous technology companies such as Thirsty.com, Fulcrum Point Technologies, Inc.; and Access360, where he worked with Mr. Willis, which is now part of IBM/Tivoli.
