ImageWare Systems Supplies Digital Mugshot System to Plano PD
SAN DIEGO, CA, June 6, 2002 - ImageWare Systems, Inc. (AMEX: IW), a Security technology company,
today announced that it signed a contract with TriTech Software Systems to supply the Plano, Texas Police Department with ImageWare's digital imaging mugshot system, Crime Capture System® (CCS).
CCS automates the criminal investigation process by eliminating the need to manually search through mugbooks and paper files. CCS provides the ability to capture, store and retrieve mugshots, criminal records and related booking information all within a single, centralized database. Additional functionality includes the ability to create photo lineups and to search a criminal database for specific scars and tattoos-or for individuals via facial recognition technology.
"By integrating our Crime Capture System into TriTech's computer-aided dispatch system, ImageWare will provide the Plano Police Department with a state-of-the-art mugshot imaging solution," said Lori Rodriguez, president of the Americas for ImageWare.
