SAN DIEGO, CA, March 1, 2004 - ImageWare Systems, Inc. (AMEX: IW), a leading global provider of digital imaging, today announced that the Tinton Falls Police Department, NJ, has selected ImageWare’s Crime Capture System® (CCS) as it’s digital booking, identification and investigative solution. CCS will be Web-enabled, allowing officers to conduct investigative searches via a secure Intranet and integrated with the department’s existing livescan system. As a result, the Tinton Falls Police Department will have immediate access to critical criminal data and investigative tools including the ability to retrieve booking information and create photo lineups and mug books. The Tinton Falls Police Department consists of 40 sworn officers and serves approximately 20,000 residents. “We are pleased to enter into this partnership with ImageWare to help provide effective law enforcement to the residents of Tinton Falls and to all of New Jersey,” said Capt. David Trevena of the Tinton Falls Police Department. “ImageWare’s CCS, combined with our new Sagem-Morpho livescan fingerprint capture station, will result in a fully integrated booking system that should reduce booking time and put officers back on the street in a more timely manner.” “The department is committed to providing state-of-the art technology to its officers to assist them in providing the highest quality law enforcement possible and constantly seeking out ways to use new technology in our day-to-day operations,” Trevena added. ”This project is one step in that process and look forward to a productive relationship with ImageWare.” “ImageWare’s law enforcement solutions’ scalability enable deployment in any size jurisdiction with current customers ranging from small municipalities to large counties or states such as the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the entire State of Arizona,” said Joe Schuler, ImageWare’s SVP of sales and marketing. “We are committed to providing law enforcement with the tools needed to further enhance the value of technology within the public safety market.”
