ImageWare Secure Credential SDK Used For Government Smart Card Initiative
SAN DIEGO, CA, September 7, 2004 - ImageWare® Systems, Inc. (AMEX: IW),
a leading global developer of identification, biometric, and digital imaging software solutions, today announced that a large Federal Civilian government agency will use IWS™ EPI™ Builder, the Company’s secure credential software developer’s kit (SDK), as part of an enterprise-wide smart card and e-authentication initiative.
IWS EPI Builder will be used to manage the card design, production and rendering aspects of the smart card initiative and will enable seamless integration with ActivCard’s AIMS Identity Management System. The cards will be used as an official Federal ID card; provide a secure method to manage digital credentials that support authentication, digital signature, and encryption services; and, allow more cost-effective physical access controls.
