ImageWare Awarded Contract from Milwaukee County
SAN DIEGO, CA, June 25, 1999 - ImageWare Systems, Inc. (AMEX:IW) was recently awarded a contract to supply the digital mugshot system for Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. ImageWare’s Crime Capture System® (CCS) video imaging technology will replace an existing system used to photograph individuals being booked into the Milwaukee County Criminal Justice Facility and House of Correction.
The implementation of ImageWare’s CCS system will modernize the booking procedures and greatly expand the capability of Milwaukee Police Department and Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department to do investigative searches. In addition the system will be used to produce wristbands so inmates can be tracked more carefully. The system will also transmit images to the State of Wisconsin Crime Information Bureau.
"We are delighted that Milwaukee County selected ImageWare through their competitive bid process. We are confident that they will be pleased with their selection and look forward to installing the system as quickly as possible" commented ImageWare’s Chairman and CEO Jim Miller.
