CSC Introduces ID Management And Credentialing Solution

February 13, 2007

Computer Sciences Corp. [CSC] says that its Border and Immigration Solutions (BIS) Center of Excellence has introduced an end-to-end biometrics identity management and credentialing solution that is compliant with FIPS 201 and provides a range of functions to support the identity management life-cycle, including biometric and biographic enrollment, identity and security adjudications, and card production, issuance and management. "Identity is a system of interactive applications based on commercial off-the-shelf products that provide federal agencies with the flexibility they need to implement in concert with their current technology," Timothy Ruggles, director of CSC's BIS Center, says. CSC established the center last summer to target technologies and solutions to help government organization achieve border security and immigration goals by deploying solutions for civil identity credential issuance, visa applicants risk analysis, border event case management, and immigration services deliver and enforcement. Separately, Imageware Systems [IW] says that CSC has selected its Biometric Engine as part of the BIS Center. The Biometric Engine is an identity management platform for multi-biometric searching and matching. The software product will be used to help develop comprehensive and integrated identity management solutions.
