Unisys subsidiary gets biometrics work July 13, 2006 Unisys Corp. said Wednesday that its Unisys Canada Inc. subsidiary has received a contract worth about $835,000 to provide biometric technology to Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The contract calls for Unisys Canada to provide hardware, software and services that allow CIC to conduct a six-month field trial of fingerprint and facial-recognition systems. Much of the hardware and software will come from ImageWare Systems Inc. (AMEX: IW) of San Diego, a subcontractor on the project.
