High Tower Software Inc.'s Security Event Manager 3210 appliance enables enterprise-level security managers to identify, prioritize and respond to attacks against systems and computer networks in real time. It combines an easy-to-deploy architecture and an intuitive user interface.

The event manager features an automated system that simplifies security threat management. It can be deployed in a few hours and reduces the process of manually reviewing logs from various security devices. By requiring less administration, security personnel have more time to protect their networks.

Network services get a boost
A new version is available of Visionael Corp.'s software that manages planning and deployment of network services. Visionael Network Resource Manager 7.3 reduces the risks created by changing a network by giving IT professionals tools to automatically discover, design, document and update the state of a company's network.

The software can help with integration issues caused by a merger, and assist with adoption of voice over Internet protocol.

Designed for the desktop
ImageWare Systems Inc. entered into a licensing agreement with NEC Personal Products Ltd. that will bring ImageWare's desktop security to personal computer providers.

ImageWare's IWS Desktop Security is an authentication management platform optimized to enhance enterprise security and usability, avoiding unauthorized access to mission-critical data.

NEC's lineup of its Mate desktop and VersaPro Laptop products include an embedded Trusted Platform Module chip with IWS Desktop Security as a standard configuration. Bundling ImageWare's IWS Desktop Security with NEC's computers provides users with an additional layer of security such as password management and file/folder encryption.
